About the event
SIMPLY BOTANICAL
Join us for a fun and friendly workshop run by Judith from Simply Botanical where you will learn to create your own botanical casting tile to take home. Seasonal flowers are supplied but if you have favourite blooms, you’re welcome to bring along your own. Small flowers work best, large ones like roses and peonies are more difficult.
You will learn how to prepare the clay, place flowers/foliage, press and remove the flowers, mix and pour plaster and how to finish your cast. The plaster takes at least 30 minus to dry sufficiently enough to remove from the clay, during this time we will stop for refreshments.
All equipment is supplied but could you please bring an apron…… working with clay and plaster can get messy.
